When Carolyn Davidson first created the Nike Swoosh in 1971 it's unlikely she would've been able to predict just how iconic her creation would become. After her initial $35 payment, Phil Knight set things right with a diamond ring and 500 shares in Nike a decade later—given the out-sized impact the logo has had, you might argue it's worth even more.

This bomber shows just how effective Davidson's work really was—not many sportswear brands could get away with quilting their logo into a jacket without it feeling a bit cheesy. Thanks to the simple effectiveness of the Swoosh though, it works fantastically well.
